General Information

These double-stage turbines are designed and manufactured by Henlex and can generate a static pressure differential of up to 120” H2O (34 kPa) and operating airflows of up to 5000 cfm. Designed specifically for welding fume extraction with MIG guns, our turbines disrupt the industry in terms of performance and air quality standards. We can deliver very high levels of extraction capacity to an almost limitless number of welding stations. Your vacuum unit will be manufactured to give precisely the performance needed at any time to optimize your cost. The performance can usually be improved at a low cost later if you need to serve more welders.

Henlex turbines are designed for indoor or outdoor use and can be assembled with various options, including an acoustic housing, a protective particle arrestor steel mesh, silencers, or a control panel. Multiple voltages are available: 240V, 480V, and 600V.

Unlike regenerative blowers, welding fumes can go through the impellers without damage, eliminating the need for a filtration unit. On top of that, our vacuum units require 20 to 35% less power for similar performances. They also don’t overheat when no air is going through and can work without a bypass valve to save energy. An airflow control valve is included with the turbine to control the vacuum performance no matter how many welders are working.

Our technology can help you comply with the most recent ACGIH threshold limit value of 0.02 mg/m3 of manganese oxide. Test results were satisfactory with various welding parameters and working positions.

Henlex turbines are the best vacuum units for fume extraction MIG guns, like AIRGOMIG. Each turbine can provide fume extraction for 3 to 60 welders (when used with automatic valves). Depending on your application and future expansion plans, we will select the perfect product to suit your needs. For example, we can deliver a simple project with an HV5 and three MIG guns. But we have done projects with three HV50 turbines working in parallel for almost 200 welders using fume extraction MIG guns and automatic valves with multiple dust collectors and a high technology control panel to manage the whole system.
